Dan Walkow - Florida and California - Moving Back to Canada

Dan has just returned from Investment seminars in Florida which included addresses by both George W Bush and Bill Clinton.

In this show he talks with David and Richard about the US and Canadian economic scenes as well as specifics about cross-border investment in this climate and in general.
Dan's company, Seabank Capital Management Inc., is licensed to deal in both Canada and the US, and can deal with almost any contingency arising from the fact that people find themselves out of their traditional investment company's physical jurisdiction. People find themselves being told they have to liquidate their portfolios (falsely) because once they move away from the broker's location the broker no longer can deal with them - and self-servingly wants to get the trailing/sales commission. This liquidation causes all manner of tax headaches - headaches that need not happen if the investments are simply moved to Seabank.
In addition, Seabank has dual-currency accounts which eliminate the currency conversions often forced upon people by their brokers when purchasing products from across the US/Canada border.
We're sure that if you are thinking of moving across the US/Canada border, or have already done so and still have investments on the other side, or even if you have simply moved from one province or state to another - that you'll benefit from talking to Dan.

Croft Woodruff - Vitamins and Nutriceuticals

Croft Woodruff talks to David and Richard about nutriceuticals - specifically Vitamin D and the fact that most North Americans don't get enough of this important component of our bodies.

February 10, 2010 - Chris Delaney and the HST

Chris Delaney joins David and Richard. This evening they continue a bit of a discussion on bogus hardware made in China that comes with built-in software that monitors the traffic and picks out "interesting" information and sends it to China.

David relates a story of purchasing some "blended" US/Canada flags online from China. Thirteen days from conception to delivery of 1000 flags at a price that was almost 1/10th of what a local company had finally, 3 weeks later, bid.

Chris Delaney and Bill Vander Zalm have been leading the rally against the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)

February 10, 2010 - The Digital Rag

David and Richard talk about Richard's blog - the Digital Rag - which was started in 1994 as the in-house electronic magazine for Wimsey.com, Canada's first commercial ISP. Along the way Richard tells why, after his laptop died he purchased an idential used one on Craig's List instead of getting one of the new ones that now sell for 1/3 what his old one cost.

February 3, 2010 - Jennifer Wade

David Ingram speaks with Jennifer Wade about her knowledge of John Graham, the activist accused of killing Anna Mae Aquash, a Mi'kmaq activist.

In the introduction, David brings up Reverend Kevin Annett and the residential school system in BC. Jennifer talks about a "published" letter that was never published, yet is being used against her in her works.

In this short interview you'll get a bit of the picture but David promises to have Jennifer back on as soon as she's back from an upcoming trip, probably in about 4 weeks. Watch for this.
