Murray Morrison - Bankruptcy Lawyer - Advocate for the Bankrupt
Thursday, June 18 2009 @ 02:42 PM PDT
David and Murray Morrison talk about bankruptcy with an emphasis on how having your own advocate, separate from the bankruptcy trustee (who really works for the creditors, even though you pay him) to guard you from both the system and your own lack of knowledge.
An excellent look at what it means to be in bankruptcy - what pitfalls there may be prior to getting a discharge, and the consequences of not doing things the right way.
Murray acted as David's advocate during the bankruptcy the CRA put David through. He also deals with clients both across Canada and down into the United States.
Murray also speaks of the new "Debtors Assistance Society" which will be the subject of another interview in the near future.
